Other Father

To Chris

Once in while there’s someone
who touches your heart in a special way
and they become such an important part of your life
that they deserve to be remembered...
You’re that someone for me.

When I think of all the ways you’ve given of yourself
and all the times you’ve been there to listen
and to share your thoughts, I realize just how fortunate I am.
I thank you for being like a father to me.
