Other Mother

Dear Lucy,

You’ve been just like a Mum to me,
in your kind and thoughtful way.
In all the helpful things you do
and caring things you say...
And even though the two of us,
don’t share a family name,
deep within my heart of hearts,
you’re “My Mother” just the same!
