Changes

This is a big change
in your life, I can see
But I'm willing to give
all the love within me

I'm not your real mother,
I'll grant you that thought
But I will still teach you
what your real mother taught

We can do all the things
that you used to do
It may feel a little strange,
but we'll get through that, too

I'll stand by your side
through thick and through thin
but please never forget...
I'm here as a friend
